Pagocommunitarianism

Pagocommunitarians:

derive the word from Pagus (a village) and Communitas (Community)

want to create something of the nature of a pre-modern village community in a modern urban or semi-urban setting

want to remain engaged with the wider society but not to be fully absorbed by it

embrace modern technology

are non-dogmatic about the structure of the community, but want something that works to keep the community together in the situations it faces and which provides a good life for its members

consider that a 'Pagus' is a group of people having personal contact with each other, and that therefore the size of a Pagus is limited to perhaps 500 people
