Menu Mithras and Christ 4020.02

Q) I have to disagree on mithras being below christ mithras is a God christ is just a man.

A) That just depends on how you define the word Christ. In my system Christ (chreston) is a supernatural being - who has multiple angels (appearances).
Mithras has a particular character and history - e.g. he comes from Iran, he was originally a god of contract, certain ways of portraying him are more typical than others. His nature doesn't exhaust all the possibilities of an abstract 'Good One'. In other words he is one angel (appearance) of christ, but not the only possible one. Thus he is lesser than the Divine Christ.
Jesus of course is even lower down the hierarchy as having being a living person his nature is even more limited than Mithras, even though it is the Angel of Jesus we might worship, not the historical person.
