Happy Mehregan, the joyous celebration of Mithra of wide pastures and meadows! Mithra is about reciprocity and wondrous luminously of Immortals. It is the celebration of DUTY and invincible sun. Mithra above all teaches us about our duties. No ancient Indo European religion has given to Mithra such high status. It is because Mazdyasna is all about DUTIES, our duty to become warriors of light, and bring the brilliant light of heavens down into our mundane lives. This is a time for harvest, much joy and charity, a time to do our duties and not to feel needlessly entitled. (A)
