ZOROASTRIAN CHRISTIAN This is a group for people with some knowledge of both Zoroastrianism and Christianity who are interested in developing a new synthesis of the two. We revere Zoroaster who perhaps lived in Iranian lands about 1000BC. Zoroaster was the first teacher of many of the doctrines of Christianity, but Satan has caused Christians to forget his contribution and believe in a false history of their religion. We think that the truth must be recovered for Christianity to become strong enough to take on Satan in the current era. Zoroastrian Christianity is primarily founded on historical Iranian and Greek thinking, but individual Zoroastrian Christians may also be interested in other traditions. ZARTOCHRESTIANISM Zartochrestianism is the group founder's own project to create a framework for Zoroastrian Christianity. Zartochrestians recognise a Godly Trinity of Zurvan, Agathon and Ashura. Zurvan is God Fundamental - the Ground of Being in Time and Space. Agathon is God Transcendent - the Ideal Good. Ashura or Ashura-Mazda is God Immanent - the being who is the righteous power in the world. We also recognise a Christian Trinity of Agathon, Chrestus and Spentamania. Agathon is the Holy Father who is the pure Good. Chrestus is the Holy Son of good-willing Mind who is the human agent of Agathon (and the human aspect of Ashura-Mazda). Spentamania is the Holy Life-loving Spirit who assists us to become like Chrestus. We value the Agatha - the good ones - including Ashura-Mazda , the Heptaspenta and Ushta. We revere the Chrestangelia - the angels who show us what is Chrestus. These are especially the divine angels - the Archangel Mithras and the Angel Anhita, and the angel-saints Zartus (Zarathustra), Jesus and Georgius (St.George). We recognise as senior magi: Zoroaster, Plato and Aristotle. Our scriptures are the Zartigathas - the songs of Zoroaster - and the Zoroastrian Avesta plus the New Testament and gnostic writings of the same era. |
