Lord Mithras and the Soldier

The Soldier looked out upon the land that was his home.

He saw the hills,
the valleys,
the fertile lands,
the flowing rivers,
the tall forests
and the shining stars in the night sky.

And he was Happy.

For giving him this home, the soldier told Lord Mithras
that he would fight and win many battles in his honor.

But Lord Mithras said:

"No, do not fight for me.
Fight for your people,
your countrymen,
fight for the family born to you.

Fight to protect the weak and the oppressed.
Fight for the Brothers and the Sisters that you find.
Fight for them."

Lord Mithras said.

"For they, are your Home."
